The quality of rice from the Po Valley is unique: each grain encapsulates centuries of history, hard work, research, varietal selection and technological progress. Its peerless quality is preserved through adapting to the climate, cultivation techniques and to the terrain of our beloved valley. Our rice is inextricably tied to local traditions and history: Le Mondine ( female rice weeders) are remembered for their decisive action for the rights of all workers, annual rice festivals and risottate are countless, attracting thousands of people of all ages.
